VILLAGE HALL FLOOR SANDING
Village Hall floor sanding is what we have done years and lots of them. A lot of the time they are the parquet herringbone or the mosaic wood flooring. But also like this one were going to talk about at Rattlesden village hall in sunny Suffolk, where this was an Junckers beach floor.
Village hall floor sanding the start of the process.
As you can see from the photo the floor before we started was worn and was in need of some Sandskill attention. The floor was sanded back to bare wood (only taking off a small amount) with the dustless lagler Hummell sanding machine for the bulk of the square meterage. Then a lager dustless edger was used for …well the edges. Working from 50 to 120 grit abrasives.
Once up to this stage we get right into all the corners and finish off with a machine called a trio. This has three discs on the bottom which rotate in different directions to achieve an unbelievable smooth finish.
The Badminton court marking.
As you may have noticed there was a badminton court on the floor previously. And obviously this is removed when the floor is sanded. This is remarked out with masking tape and re painted using Junckers court line paint.
Village hall floor sanding the finish.
Now this village hall floor sanding part is now complete a protective hard wearing coat needs to be applied. Being a Junckers beech floor we opted for the Junckers HP Commercial grade floor lacquer. This is a two part polyurethane floor lacquer designed for commercial areas such as this and meets all regulations for slip resistance.
